THE STUDIO

A studio led from the tropics

Consciencia Labs is an architecture studio devoted to social architecture, design and sustainable tropical construction. We work on urban and rural territory through habitat and ecotourism, with one purpose: community wellbeing and the preservation of the environment.

THE NAME AND THE MARK

Consciencia

The capacity of some living beings to recognise the reality around them and to relate to it.

That is where our architecture comes from: a conscious architecture, interpreted by people. Because only a human being feels what another human being feels, and knows what we truly need. We design from what makes us feel, because the spaces we inhabit are felt too.

Architecture is art. It is humanity.

Over ten years of practice as an architect and urbanist, an understanding of how international teams work, and a genuine attachment to the culture of this region.

That combination sits behind everything we build. The territory on one side — its climate, its culture, the way people actually inhabit it. The technology on the other, which lets us answer it faster and with more precision. Projects that respond to the humid tropics rather than to an imported catalogue.

Let's design a better future for our region.
