Consciencia Labs is a research laboratory in social architecture, design and sustainable tropical construction. We work on urban and rural territory through habitat and ecotourism, with one purpose: community wellbeing and the preservation of the environment.
Founded in 2023 by Laura Medina Guzmán Architect & Urban Designer — BIM Management Specialist
Over ten years of practice as an architect and urban designer, combined with a Master's in Programming Applied to BIM, an understanding of how international teams work, and a genuine attachment to the culture of this region.
That combination sits behind everything we build. The territory on one side — its climate, its culture, the way people actually inhabit it. The technology on the other, which lets us answer it faster and with more precision. Projects that respond to the humid tropics rather than to an imported catalogue, and software written in-house because the tools we needed did not exist yet.

BIM consultant. Led the rollout of buildingSMART-driven workflows and enterprise-scale automation for more than 300 architects supporting architecture and urban design firms in the United States.
Associate architect. Design, development, specification and follow-up of architectural, urban and cultural projects — including many of the urban interventions Santa Marta has seen in recent years.
Architect. Design, development, specification and site follow-up of architecture and interior design projects.
Junior architect on the Casa Estudio Rafael Correa de Andreis project, from research and concept through to construction documentation.
Structuralia, Spain. Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python, C#, the Revit API, Autodesk Platform Services, machine learning in BIM and the buildingSMART protocol.
